FILMMAKER | PREVIS & CINEMATICS
Before moving into major UK studio productions, I spent several years writing, directing, and producing my award-winning 83-minute independent feature film, Lazy Guy (Lijenština), alongside working across smaller regional projects spanning short films, animation, editing, and mixed media.
Over the past six years, my focus has been on feature VFX visualization and AAA game cinematics. I spent over four years at Framestore in London (two of those as a Lead Previs Artist) working on major film and episodic productions, and recently served as Principal Layout Artist at Rebel Wolves, creating in-engine cutscenes in Unreal Engine 5 for the dark fantasy action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker.
At the core of everything I do is a love for telling compelling stories that feel genuinely filmic and impactful, paired with a real interest in the technology and tools that help bring those stories to the screen.
Writing detailed shot lists from scripts and choosing composition, framing, and camera movement that fit the narrative, from quiet dramatic character beats to complex, high-energy action set pieces.
Directing actors and camera blocking on physical sets, as well as staging performance capture data and digital characters inside 3D environments.
Building sequences from script pages or storyboards and cutting edits in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve to establish a compelling rhythm and clear spatial continuity.
Working directly with directors, VFX supervisors, and previs supervisors to explore visual ideas, pitch shot solutions, and solve staging problems when 2D boards translate into 3D space.
Working closely with producers and coordinators to plan schedules, break sequences down into individual shots, assign tasks across artists, and keep delivery milestones on track.
Guiding previs artists through daily reviews and assisting with shot challenges, while coordinating with asset, animation, and rigging teams to ensure 3D environments and rigs meet sequence requirements.
Assembling sequences in UE5 Sequencer, importing layout passes from MotionBuilder or Maya, and executing final camera polish, lighting adjustments, and in-engine implementation.
Setting up master environments, lighting, and whole-scene rough blockouts in Maya ready to be distributed to artists as individual shot files.
Working with motion capture across MotionBuilder and Maya as well as hand-keyed animation, contributing to techvis passes, and putting together sequence comps in After Effects.
